They’re just the right amount of sweet and savory with a hint of jalapeno. Plus they are so easy to make! You just toss all the ingredients in the slow cooker and let it do the work. Crock Pot Kielbasa Appetizer
This sweet and savory appetizer comes together with just THREE ingredients! What could be easier than throwing ingredients into the slow cooker? That’s the beauty of this easy kielbasa recipe. Here’s what to do:
Slice kielbasa into bite size rounds and add them to the Crock Pot. I like to use all beef kielbasa sausage but you can use any kind you like. Some other delicious alternatives are turkey sausage, pork, spicy or mild, just about any kind will do. It comes in a u-shape package in the meat section of your grocery store.Add a cup or so of your favorite barbecue sauce. My go to is always Sweet Baby Ray’s.Then stir in the star ingredient of this show: Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeño Fruit Spread. I’m so in love with this new flavor from Smucker’s. It is really fun to experiment with for all kinds of recipes. Smucker’s has really done a fabulous job balancing the sweet and spice in this spread. You first taste the flavor of sweet, fresh strawberry and then the mild heat of the jalapeño comes through.Let it all simmer in the slow cooker for two to three hours until serving time.
